ABOUT ME

Hello! My Name is Derin Marino, better known online as JDR (Junkdrawer). I'm 20 years old and have had a love for content creation since I was young; filming vast genres of content throughout the years and experimenting with any and all forms of art that I physically could.

 

I first started editing gaming videos when I was 10 years old; making YouTube videos for myself and affiliated group channels and with time picked up a camera and never looked back. At 13 years old I started designing clothes for my brand named Aslan Apparel, which through many iterations throughout the years, I’ve been able to bring back in 2026. At 15 I became a manager, lead-designer and musician for an online music group named “Goobers” until the projedct concluded in March 2024. I was fortunate enough to witness the creativity that musicians are able to achieve within their projects, with myself being able to take all I’ve learned and release my debut EP “Ashes Left Unspoken” in October 2023. In October of that same year, I founded Aslan Wxrldwide to be my brand label for musicians to release their projects under and take pride in their creativity.

 

In High School I was in the Graphic Design career program and had become a certified designer. Then transitioned my focus more towards film and content by majoring in the Digital Media Production program in College where I reside today, working every day towards my bachelor's degree.

With my pursuit within my degree and my love for the arts, I decided to revisit all the creative endeavors I’ve once experienced and combine them into one Media group where small creatives such as myself could put themselves out there and help support one another, as well as work with the public to create projects they/you can be happy with! 

 

I find so many underrated creatives that I believe deserve the chance to be seen worldwide. In a world where art is all around us, I see no reason why creatives should be afraid of getting started. Whether it be music, content or design, at Aslan Media I’ve put together a bunch of very talented creatives that are more than willing to help develop your ideas – and because I like working on a little bit of everything, I’ll always be there to help too! Aslan Media is an amalgamation of all the art I love and I want this dream project to be a reflection of how creatives should be supported no matter the size.
